Lake Titicaca

Puno & Lake Titicaca
Journey high into the Andes to Lake Titicaca, known as the “Sacred Waters of the Inca Empire” and the highest navigable lake in the world. You will cruise to the floating reed islands of the Uros people with their centuries-old way of life, and then visit Taquile Island to admire the ancient weaving traditions of the Quechua-speaking Taquileños. “Taquile and Its Textile Art” has been proclaimed a “Masterpiece of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity” by UNESCO”. In Puno, you’ll also visit the Sillustani tombs, ingeniously designed chulpas (burial towers) of the ancient Colla civilization, before your overnight and flight to Quito.
