James Barreno, Naturalist
James was born in Quito, but as a baby his parents decided to move to the Galápagos Islands, and since then he has being living in Santa Cruz Island.
James grew up in this amazing paradise surrounded by the wild life, in Puerto Ayora, located in Santa Cruz Island.
James first real interest with the Galápagos animals started when he was only six years old and saw his first marine iguana diving. Since that moment, he became very interested in animal behavior.
This unique experience led James to become a Dive Master. He shares this hobby with his father, who is also a Naturalist Guide with 15 years of experience in the Gálapagos.
At the moment, James is studying Environmental Engineering online. His schedule allows him to continue working his passion. He feels happy and blessed to share his knowledge while working in this unique paradise.
