Brad was born in Sydney, Australia in 1974. In 1994 he moved to Townsville, North Queensland where he studied to receive a Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology and Zoology. After graduating Brad worked on the Great Barrier Reef, teaching about the amazing ecosystems that are found throughout tropical reefs worldwide. A love of all things in nature led him to lead trips throughout the Kimberley Region on North West Australia. Here he found a passion to teach about terrestrial animals, including the wonderful marsupial fauna and reptile life found in Northern Australia. The area also inspired him to learn about the indigenous cultures that have used the lands for thousands of years. Liaising with Indigenous peoples of the land provided great insight into the history of the area. After working in these areas for three years Brad went travelling, which led him throughout the United Kingdom, Europe and the United States. He has also travelled to Bermuda, Fiji, Hawaii, the Maldives and Indonesia to spend time observing the natural environment and cultures in the areas. Since then, Brad has led trips through Sumatra and many of the other islands of Indonesia as well as Papua New Guinea, Micronesia and Palau.
