
After graduating from the Marine Academy in Gdynia, Poland, Captain Boczek started his career sailing worldwide on all different kinds of ships – general cargo, off shore suppliers, container vessels and passenger ships. He received a M.Sc. diploma of Sea Transport Economy from Gdansk University and worked his way up through the ranks to become Captain in 1985.
Since then, Adam has served as Master aboard many ships, from passenger ferries connecting Poland and Sweden to cruises through the Norwegian fjords and Mediterranean Sea, as well as trips to Africa, the Americas and complete world circumnavigations.
Captain Boczek’s ice experience began in heavy winters on the Baltic Sea, and continued with his time navigating the Polar waters of Antarctica, the Arctic, Svalbard, Greenland and the Canadian Arctic aboard passenger expedition ships.
