DAY ONE - Tuesday, April 02, 2013 - East London/Hoedspruit/Camp Jabulani

Depart the ship and transfer to the East London airport, from where a private charter plane will take you on the 2-hour and 20-minute flight to Hoedspruit airport, gateway to famous Kruger National Park and the heartland of private game reserves. Upon arrival, you are met by a representative from Camp Jabulani who will accompany you on the 30-minute drive in 4x4 vehicles to the five-star deluxe camp.

Camp Jabulani, with its luxurious tented suites and open-air spa is nothing short of spectacular. Situated along the bank of a seasonal stream, the private elephant safari camp was officially launched by Prince Michael of Kent and named for the baby elephant rescued together with 12 others from Zimbabwe by the camp's owner.

Upon arrival and after check-in, join the game ranger and head out into the Kapama Game Reserve for a late afternoon game drive in open safari vehicles. The private reserve supports a wide variety of game including elephant, buffalo, rhino, giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, kudu and many other species.

Returning to the lodge, you can enjoy some privacy at your own terrace or join other guests in the attractive lounge before dinner.

Overnight accommodation at Camp Jabulani.

DAY TWO - Wednesday, April 03, 2013 - Full Day Jabulani Experience

You may plan your day with the lodge manager and game ranger, including such activities as an early morning and afternoon game drive, a guided bush walk or a visit to the well-known Hoedspruit Endangered Species Centre. The highlight, however, is a ride through the bush, single file and silent on the back of an elephant. It allows you to observe various wildlife from your elevated, canvas-covered seat mounted behind a skilled elephant handler.

In the afternoon, you can join another game drive, visit the Hoedspruit Endangered Species Centre, or let the staff at the lodge arrange any optional activities. Perhaps you may want to simply relax and observe wildlife from the terrace of your private tent. Dinner is served at the attractive main lodge.
