Thursday, 16 January, 2014 - MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA

Arriving at Melburne International Airport you are met by the local Silversea representative and transferred to the Sofitel Hotel on Collins.  The hotel,  located at the "Paris End" of Collins Street, only a short walk from major

shopping, entertainment and business areas as well as major attractions.  Following check-in, the balance of the day is at leisure. All meals are on your own account.

Please note: Check-in time at the hotel is 2:00PM.  If your flight arrives in the early morning, you may wish to guarantee your room for check-in upon arrival for an additional cost.


Friday, 17 January & Saturday, 18 January - MELBOURNE

Following breakfast each morning, gather in the lobby for your group transfer to the Australian Open.  Known as the 'players' favourite,' Australian Open 2014 will once more be the highlight of the tennis year. From 13-26 January the eyes of the tennis world will be focused on Melbourne as the best of the best battle it out for the first Grand Slam title of the year.


Your Australian Open days includes:

·        Reserved Rod Laver Arena seating - lower courtside and baseline (subject to availability)

·        Access to all outdoor courts in addition to your reserved Rod Laver Arena Seating

·        Buffet meal with chef at 'live grill station' served in The Vine dining room

·        Day Session - lunch meal service 12.00pm - 3.00pm

·        A selection of wine, beer and soft drinks within meal service times in the dining room

·        Reserved dining table

·        Official Australian Open tournament program - one program per two seats

·        Access to exclusive facilities, outlets, bars and services

In the afternoon a return group transfer has been arranged to transfer you back to the Sofitel on Collins.  

Your evenings are free for independent sightseeing and dining.

Sunday, 19 January - MELBOURNE EMBARKATION

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel again this morning.  Due to our sailing time, it is not possible to offer tickets to the matches being played today.  Instead, you may wish to use your free time this morning to explore the art exhibitions that the hotel is so well known for.   Their art gallery offers sixteen major Art exhibitions each year in the hotel's three public exhibition spaces, reflecting an ever-changing landscape of scope, texture and color.

The local Silversea representative is on hand mid-morning to assist with your transfer to the waiting Silver Shadow.

Special Deposit & Cancellation Policy:

Due to the strict cancellation policies for both the tickets and the hotel accommodations, reservations for this program will be handled by the Silver Shore Hotel Concierge.  Full prepayment is required to confirm this program and special cancellation penalties are in effect:  

From date of confirmation to 31 October, 2013 - 50% of the total program cost per person

From 01 November, 2013 to January 16, 2014 - 100% of the total program cost per person
