China Club! - A Full World Cruise Event
Tour description
Go back to an era when travel to the Mysterious East was an exotic adventure. Opium dens and intrigue filled the bustling streets of downtown Singapore, the Chinese Quarter in Shanghai, and around the waterfront of Old Kowloon. In these heady days there was always a refuge for the adventurer, a place to mingle with like minds, share a cocktail with an exotic expatriate, and relax in an ambiance of style, with a local flavor. The place was 'The Club'.
Fast forward to 2013 - in the same exotic location, an exclusive and stylish venue has sprung up for locals and travelers to meet, share a cocktail, delight in a gourmet meal, and all in a sophisticated retro atmosphere surrounded by the opulence of the East. This place is the 'China Club'.
Silversea is delighted to invite you to join the Captain and select officers for dinner at the Singapore 'China Club'. A Welcome Lion Dance sets the mood, followed by Chinese haute cuisine created by the club's renowned chef, Spectacular views across Singapore from the 52nd floor all combine to make for an unforgettable evening.
Begin with a 30-minute transfer that takes you to the central business district, site of the elegant, members-only China Club. From its vantage point on the 52nd floor, the Singapore panorama is simply spectacular.
On arrival, two sets of elevators whisk you up 52 floors. Here, the interior of the China Club and a colourful Lion Dance evoke an atmosphere of old-world China. The tradition of the Lion Dance goes back some thousand years, conveying joy and happiness. Watch this amazing spectacle of twisting movements to the accompaniment of drum, gong and cymbal while sipping a glass of sparkling wine.
Then, proceed to the ornate dining room where the décor is based on strong Chinese traditions, redolent of old Shanghai.
