IIndulge your senses with the scenic splendour of one of the last wild places on earth.  Perched on the edge of Torres del Paine National Park, the Tierra Patagonia is your home for three nights of pure paradise.  Far, far off the beaten track, explore the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve as few others have done. Enjoy a selection of full- and half-day excursions that introduce you to the flora, fauna and culture of Patagonia.

Please note: Participants in this program should schedule their flights to arrive into Santiago, Chile.

Please check with your travel professional for details regarding a Chilean  visa. It is the responsibility of each guest to obtain appropriate visa documents prior to cruising.

You have time to do a short (30 minute) walk along the southern shore of Lago Grey where it is common to find icebergs that have travelled from the face of the glacier. The return drive takes place on a road south of Lago del Toro.

In the evening, enjoy dinner at the hotel.  It’s a good idea to discuss your activities for tomorrow with the guides before retiring for the evening.

Day 3 – EASTER ISLAND

After a leisurely breakfast meet your guide and head along the southeast coast at Ahu Hanga Te’e in the sector of Vaihu.  From Vaihu continue on to the Ahu Akahanga also known as the "platform of the king". According to legends this is the site where the bones of the first king of Easter Island (Hotu Matua) are buried.   A short drive follows to Ahu Tongariki, formerly the largest platform on the Island destroyed by a tidal wave in 1960, but since reconstructed. From there, continue to the spectacular Rano Raraku quarry, so symbolic of the island and the original "factory" of the moais. The gigantic statues cover the inner and outer slopes of the volcano; they can be admired in the different stages of production, from carving in the rock to upright position, and lying face down on their intended road to their platforms.

The tour continues along the north coast and passes through La Perousse Bay to stop at Ahu Te Pito Kura.  This is the site of the largest moai ever transported and erected onto an ahu. The moai paro stood at 9.8 meters with an estimated weight of 82 tons. Its top knot alone weighs approximately 11 tons.  It is also believed to be the last moai to be toppled, sometime in the 1840′s.

The next stop is the beach of Anakena where according to native legend Hotu Matua first landed on Rapa Nui.  At this site you will see the Ahu Nau Nau partially restored in 1978 by Rapa Nui Archeologist Sergio Rapu. Located in this same area is the Ahu Ature Huki. The moai standing on this ahu was the first moai to ever be re-erected onto an ahu. This was done by a group of islanders working with Thor Heyerdahl and the Norwegian expedition in 1956.  A tasty boxed lunch is served in a shaded area at Anakena Beach or at Rano Raraku Volcano.

From Anakena, take the inland road through Vaitea back to town, arriving back at the hotel in the early evening.

Enjoy your final dinner on the island at the hotel or in a local restaurant.

Overnight at the Hotel Hanga Roa – Easter Island, Chile

Day 4 – EASTER ISLAND / SANTIAGO

After breakfast at the hotel enjoy a couple hours of leisure time.  Transfer to the airport for your return flight to Santiago. An in-flight lunch is served.  Upon arrival, you are met and transferred back to the hotel. The rest of the evening is at your leisure. Dinner is on your own account.

Overnight at the Grand Hyatt Hotel – Santiago, Chile

Day 5 – SANTIAGO / VALPARAISO

After breakfast and check-out, meet your guide to head for a short morning sight-seeing drive through the upper districts of Santiago, before heading towards Valparaiso.  Drive through the upper districts of Santiago to proceed towards the San Cristobal Hill for a panoramic wide view of the city and the Andes Mountains. Indulge your senses with the scenic splendour and unique history of Peru.  Board the legendary ‘Hiram Bingham’ for a picturesque train-ride to Machu Picchu. Upon arrival, explore the ‘Lost City of the Incas’.  Your overnight stay at the famed Sanctuary Lodge allows you to spend additional time at the historic site with fewer tourists.

Please note: Participants in this program should schedule their arrival flight into Lima, Peru.

Please check with your travel professional for details regarding Peruvian and Chilean visas. It is the responsibility of each guest to obtain appropriate visa documents prior to cruising.

DAY 1 – LIMA

Upon arrival in Lima, you are met and transferred from the airport to the Miraflores Park, which is renowned for its location overlooking the Pacific Ocean. After check-in, the remainder of the day and evening are at your leisure. Lunch and dinner are on your own.

Overnight at the Miraflores Park/Orient Express Hotel – Lima, Peru

DAY 2 – LIMA / MACHU PICCHU

In order to get to the train station in Cuzco for your rail journey, a very early departure from the hotel is necessary for your flight to Cuzco.  Once there, transfer directly to the train station in the Sacred Valley where the Hiram Bingham awaits.   Your rail journey celebrates the spirit of expedition and perseverance that is the hallmark of the railways of Peru, taking its name from the explorer Hiram Bingham who discovered the ‘Lost City of the Incas’.

Brunch is served en route. Upon arrival at the site, commence a guided tour of the marvellous Citadel, then take a stroll through this impressive archaeological site on your own. Explore the famous "Lost City of the Incas" and feel its pulse while visualizing the lives of the priests, craftsmen, and servants who lived in this seemingly incredible site.  Excavations have only added to the mystery, revealing the skeletons of 173 people along with artifacts and woolen clothing, though no gold.

Afterward, relax with afternoon tea at the Machu Picchu Sanctuary Lodge, the only hotel located within the very grounds of the Machu Picchu Sanctuary citadel.  Dinner is served at the Lodge.

Overnight at the Machu Picchu Sanctuary Lodge

DAY 3 – MACHU PICCHU / CUZCO

After an early-morning breakfast at the lodge, depart for an opportunity to witness an incomparable sight (weather permitting); the sun rising over Machu Picchu.  Due to the proximity of the hotel to the site, overnight guests have time in the morning to enjoy the citadel with very few other visitors around.

Later in the morning, transfer to the Aguas Calientes Station and board Peru Rail’s Vistadome train for the return trip to Cuzco.  A box lunch is provided.

Transfer to the Hotel Monasterio in Cuzco.  This afternoon you are free to explore the area.  Dinner this evening is served at a local restaurant.

Overnight at the Monasterio Hotel – Cuzco, Peru

DAY 4 – CUZCO / SANTIAGO

Check out of the hotel this morning and head to the airport for your flights (via Lima) to Santiago, Chile.  Once there, the local Silversea representative meets you after you have collected your luggage and cleared all entry formalities.   Transfer to the hotel.   Lunch and dinner today are on your own account.

Overnight at the Grand Hyatt Hotel – Santiago, Chile

DAY 3 – MENDOZA

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel this morning followed by a tour of the area.  Located at the foot of the Andes range, Mendoza is clearly recognized as the major wine region in Argentina. The area is notable for its very hot summers and plentiful sunlight. Added to this, sparse annual rainfall has encouraged the use of artificial irrigation creating perfectly tended oases of plentiful fruit.

End your tour with lunch and a visit at the Pulenta Estate.  Here, the 135 hectare-vineyard grows at 980 metres (3,215 feet) above sea level and enjoys an extraordinary climate and huge temperature ranges, all of which create favourable conditions for viticulture.

The vines, which were brought from France and Italy and planted by Antonio Pulenta, flourish at the feet of the mountains.  Meltwater flowing from higher elevations irrigates the Estate and its purity is reflected in the vigour, intensity and freshness of the fruit.

Return to the Posada Salentein for dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 4 – MENDOZA / BUENOS AIRES

Following breakfast at the hotel, transfer to the airport for the return flight to Buenos Aires.  Once there, return to the Sheraton Park Tower Hotel and enjoy the balance of the day at your leisure in this dynamic capital city.  Tonight might be an ideal opportunity to take in a local Tango Show.  Dinner this evening is on your own account.
