PATRICK ALLITT was awarded the Ph.D. in 1986. A professor of American history at Emory University, he is now Director of Emory’s Center for Teaching and Curriculum. He will talk about the history of the long and complicated relationship, as both friends and rivals, between Britain and the United States.
