Professor LAWRENCE HERSON and his wife, Libby, are enthusiastic travellers, having made more than one hundred-fifty trips abroad, with periods of research and residence in at least 50 countries. He is currently writing a book on their travels. Professor Herson has also served as election analyst for CBS and PBS, and in 1995, was honoured by an invitation from Mikhail Gorbachev to deliver a series of lectures in Russia on the American democratic experience. Professor Herson’s diverse lecture topics include: Confucianism, 19th-century French Bronzes, Islam, Buddhism, Sherlock Holmes, American Politics, Pacific Voyages, New World Discoveries, Russia Old and New, Viet Nam, Evita & Juan Peron, and The Caribbean as Africa in Exile.
