Description:
This position will drive the performance of the Americas by successfully activating and implementing the group marketing mix into the Americas (incl Latin America and Canada). The individual will be responsible for driving marketing strategy and tactics that drive awareness, leads and conversion. The marketing manager will work with Creative Services and/or agency partners to develop local adaptation of all communication elements including but not limited to brochures, flyers, direct mail, special promotion materials, emails and advertising.   • Own performance of the Latin America and Canada driving all marketing activity related to this product segment including product, promotion, place and price

Description:
The Traffic Specialist performs a range of administrative and marketing support duties related to the daily operations of the marketing department. The Specialist is the “gatekeeper” for many marketing projects and will exercise discretion and judgment while interacting with the sales and marketing teams to ensure the marketing and advertising projects are delivered on time and on budget.

Job Title: Specialist, Traffic – Marketing Americas

Performance Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for coordinating the daily workflow and trafficking of traditional, online and direct response programs for international luxury cruise line with a fleet of no less than 8 vessels
  • Develop the creative brief and assign resources for the opening of projects, reassigning resources as projects are completed and/or new projects are required
  • Open projects; assign job numbers to all new projects and setup job tasks in project management software, managing the flow and timelines of incoming projects.
  • Manage production start to finish for all printed marketing materials including prepress and fulfillment services for trade and consumer segments, including proofing and approval process
  • Work with graphic designers, copywriters, printers, mail houses and media in development of Global and North America marketing materials.
  • Review all bids and quotes to ensure they meet project specifications, timeline and adhere to budgets presented by marketing managers
  • Organize, prioritize and track all marketing projects to ensure that they move along seamlessly through the work process from start to completion.
  • Interact with trade publications to ensure creative is available by deadline. Verify specifications, time, frequency and placement of the ads
  • Test digital creative across multiple browsers to ensure proper functionality
  • Obtain bids from outside print and materials vendors, complete purchase orders and review final invoices for accuracy
  • Provide daily communications to the Marketing team about project status
  • Manage inventory of marketing materials and supplies; order supplies for sales and marketing teams

Performance Responsibilities:

• Sell cruises to various destinations along with optional programs such as air, land, hotel, insurance, etc.
• Service incoming phone calls in a professional, courteous and efficient manner.
• Consistently demonstrate a friendly and patient attitude through proper phone etiquette and positive voice inflection.
• Provide information to callers about Silversea ships, destinations, itineraries and policies.
• Communicate cruise related requests to the appropriate department (i.e. Silver Sky, Hotel Department, Res Help Desk, Special Services, Documentation).
• Monitor the Confirmation Mailbox to ensure guest confirmations are successfully transmitted; resolve any problems.
• Review and distribute incoming department emails and faxes to the appropriate administrative area.
• Assist with call-out projects such as itinerary changes, missing Guest Information Forms and cancelled shore excursions as assigned by Reservation Supervisor and Lead Agents.
• Assist Administrative Departments with various projects.
• Assist with proofing of atlas and itineraries.
• Research and respond to travel agent requests by phone or email.
